Policies
Welcome to the Big Cypress RV Resort! We are owned by The Seminole Tribe of Florida and are located within the boundaries of the Big Cypress Seminole Indian Reservation. As such, our guests must adhere to Tribal Government and Campground safety guidelines and policies.
The main road through the reservation has a gas station and restaurants in which all are welcome. Especially available for your enjoyment are the Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum and the Swamp Water Café!
Here are some rules in place to ensure our guests have a pleasurable stay:
Speed Limit
Please obey all speed limit signs on the reservation for the safety of our community. The limit is 10 mph on the RV Resort grounds to protect our guests. Adherence to the local speed limit is strictly enforced.
Office Hours
We are open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m; though closed for lunch from 1:00 p.m.to 2:00 p.m.
Clubhouse
Open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. (Nov. -April); and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (May- Oct.)
Quiet Time
We designate the period from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. as “quiet time” to promote tranquility on our resort. Please respect your neighbors when moving around, and don’t play loud music.
Pool
Our pool is for use by our registered guests exclusively, and it is open from 9:30 a.m.to 4:45 p.m. Children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Please do not bring your pets or any glass objects to the pool area. We also ask that guests refrain from diving or running; and from entering the pool if experiencing any symptoms of respiratory illness.
Sewer Hoses
Are to be sealed in the sewer connection with a screw-in fitting or a rubber donut. Please replace the sewer cap before departure.
We offer a temporary mail forwarding service for the convenience of our guests. Use BIG CYPRESS RV RESORT, 30290 Josie Billie Hwy PMB 1002, Clewiston, FL 33440 for forwarding mail, including packages. Your mailbox key will be issued to you upon request, and $5 fee charged if not returned. As we cannot store unclaimed packages, we ask that all mail be picked up after 5 p.m. daily at the postal distribution area on-site (brown mailboxes outside of clubhouse by pool). An outbox is available for your outgoing mail.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in the cabins, clubhouse, bathrooms or office. Please properly dispose of cigarette butts and wrappers in our trash receptacles.
Pets
Pets are only allowed for our RV Guests (ask us about our breed restrictions and vaccination records requirement). Please keep dogs on a leash at all times and pick up after your pet. No pets are allowed in the cabins, clubhouse, pool area, bathrooms, laundry rooms, office or other RV Park sites. For the safety of all our guests, we strictly enforce our pet policy and reserve the right to remove any guest who has a pet that displays a violent tendency. Please use designated pet walk area only.
Garbage & Recycle
We offer large dumpsters and recycling bins. Please use the dumpsters (adjacent to RV Site 93) for household garbage only. Use tied plastic garbage bags, break down all boxes, and please close the dumpster lids when finished. Bag recyclables (plastic bottles, aluminum cans, and paper) and place in the blue recycling bins. Please note that glass goes into the dumpsters, and see signs posted at the dumpster/recycling area for more details.
Recreational Amenities Access
Our resort offers numerous recreational amenities including Basketball, Billiards, Bocce Ball, Mini Golf and Shuffleboard. We ask that an adult accompanies children under age 16 to use these facilities. Please register in the office for Bocce Ball.
Clotheslines
To maintain our beautiful scenery, clotheslines are not permitted. However, clothing racks are allowed if attached to the back of the RV.
Campfires
Campfires are allowed only in above ground fire pits. *Please, no ground fires as we are surrounded by vegetation.
Fishing
We have specifically designated fishing areas identified on a map we share with our guests. Anglers must have a valid Florida fishing license along with the fishing permit we provide to our guests. We value our sanitary conditions and do not permit fish cleaning on the grounds.
Wildlife
Please do not touch, feed, or harm any wildlife. Report all unusual sightings to the on-site office staff and/or call Seminole Police Dept. at 863-983-2285. All after-hours sightings are to be reported to the Seminole Police Dept.
Propane
Ameri-Gas mobile truck service will fill the non-removable RV propane tank(s) at your RV site on Tuesdays. You must sign up in advance by emailing all office staff by Thursday. Portable propane tank filling services are not provided by the park. Please visit the local area businesses such as Ace Hardware (Clewiston), Ameri-Gas (Immokalee) and Tractor Supply (Labelle) for your propane needs.
Drones
Sorry, but drones are prohibited.
Internet
No password is needed to access the Wi-Fi. Simply connect to “Big Cypress RV” Wi-Fi to purchase your package and, for tech support, call SkyWeb at: 1-844-641-9011.
